Trump Confirms Strong Strikes Against Iran, Indicates Largest Wave Has Yet to Come
In a phone interview with CNN on Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. military is conducting “very strong strikes” against Iran, but clarified that “the largest wave has yet to come.”
Trump added, “We are hitting them very hard. Things are going very well. We have the greatest military in the world, and we are using it,” referring to ongoing military operations against Iranian targets.
When asked about the expected duration of the conflict, the U.S. president said, “I don’t want to see it last long. I always thought it would be four weeks, and we are a little ahead of schedule.”
He also addressed the issue of Iran’s response, indicating that the size of the surprise from Tehran was unexpected, and he discussed the matter of succession in Iran.
Regarding other measures beyond military operations, Trump said, “Yes, indeed, but for now, we want everyone to stay indoors. The situation is not safe,” adding that conditions “will become less safe soon.”
