Rachid Talbi Alami, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, represented King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, held on Monday, March 30, 2026, in the capital Bangui.
During this ceremony, attended by heads of state, foreign delegations, and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Bangui, along with notable figures, Touadéra took the oath of office for a new seven-year term as President of the Central African Republic.
On this occasion, Talbi Alami conveyed the congratulations and greetings of King Mohammed VI to President Faustin-Archange Touadéra, reaffirming his steadfast commitment to working towards the development and enhancement of stability on the African continent.
Accompanying the Speaker of the House at the ceremony was Mustafa Alami Flous, Morocco’s Ambassador to the Central African Republic.
King Mohammed VI had previously sent a congratulatory message to Touadéra on the occasion of his reelection as President of his country, in which the King expressed his ongoing willingness to work with Faustin-Archange Touadéra to enhance close cooperation based on effective solidarity, both at the bilateral level and across the African continent.
