Al-Hamouki receives the Inspector General of the Liberian Police and the Indonesian Ambassador to enhance international cooperation

The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, received the Inspector General of the Police of Liberia, Gregory Coleman, along with the Liberian Ambassador and a high-level security delegation, on Monday in Rabat, as part of efforts to enhance security cooperation between the two countries.

The visit aimed to exchange Morocco’s expertise in various fields, including countering extremism and terrorism through the experience of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations, tackling organized crime via the National Police Judicial Brigade, and developing scientific and technical police laboratories. Both parties announced their intention to prepare a bilateral memorandum of understanding to organize security cooperation, which will be signed in Rabat coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the General Directorate of National Security next May.

Later the same day, Hammouchi also welcomed the Ambassador of Indonesia to Morocco, Yuyus Sutisna. Their meeting addressed shared security concerns between Morocco and Indonesia and ways to activate bilateral agreements, concluding with an agreement to draft a memorandum of understanding to enhance security cooperation between the two nations.

These meetings reflect the commitment of the General Directorate of National Security and Territorial Surveillance to expand its international partnerships and share Moroccan expertise with security agencies in friendly and sister countries.
