ACAPS Enhances Financial Literacy Among Youth with Innovative Initiatives During Global Money Week
ACAPS has launched a series of new initiatives aimed at enhancing financial literacy among young people, as part of its participation in the fourteenth edition of Global Money Week. The program employs innovative pedagogical formats targeting various educational groups.
This year’s activities in Morocco will run from March 30 to April 11, following the international celebration from March 16 to 22. The organization has laid out a diverse program intended to broaden financial awareness and reach youth in multiple environments, including educational institutions, media outlets, and digital platforms.
The event’s theme is “Money… Let’s Talk About It,” emphasizing the importance of open and responsible discussions about financial issues. This initiative aims to equip young people with essential skills for managing their resources and making informed financial decisions.
In this context, ACAPS has launched the “ACAPS Podcast” channel on Spotify, offering simplified educational content through interviews with experts to make concepts of insurance and social protection more accessible to the general public.
Additionally, the organization plans to release an interactive booklet titled “Understanding Insurance,” primarily aimed at youth, using a fun and straightforward approach to explain basic principles of insurance and its mechanisms.
These initiatives also include the launch of an interactive radio game on popular stations, enabling participants to learn in an entertaining format while having the chance to win prizes. There will also be awareness campaigns in secondary schools and higher education institutions to enhance understanding of insurance’s role in risk management.
This dynamic effort aligns with the national strategy for promoting financial education led by the Moroccan Foundation for Financial Education and supports international guidelines outlined by the OECD in this field.
Through these initiatives, ACAPS aims to empower youth with the necessary tools and knowledge to understand financial issues and promote responsible behaviors capable of tackling current economic challenges.
