The Saudi Ambassador to Morocco, Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh, praised the deep historical ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Morocco, affirming the strength of the bilateral relations under the wise leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, along with Moroccan King Mohammed VI.
This statement came during a press meeting held by the ambassador yesterday at the Saudi Embassy in Rabat with representatives of Moroccan media, where he reviewed the results of bilateral cooperation in 2025. This included high-level official meetings, signed agreements in various fields, and the growing Saudi investments in Morocco.
The ambassador also discussed the Kingdom’s efforts to facilitate the Hajj and Umrah procedures for pilgrims from different countries, emphasizing the Saudi authorities’ commitment to enhancing the services provided to the guests of Allah.
In this context, the Saudi diplomat highlighted the “Makkah Route” initiative, which aims to ease administrative procedures for Moroccan pilgrims by enabling them to obtain visas and finalize travel processes within Morocco, ensuring suitable conditions in terms of comfort and security. He noted that the initiative has benefited around 45,000 Moroccan pilgrims over the past five years, indicating plans to increase the number of beneficiaries during the current season.
