The political bureau of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) renewed its support for the autonomy initiative and praised the government’s efforts in addressing the floods.

On Tuesday, the political bureau held its regular meeting in Rabat, chaired by the collective leadership of the General Secretariat, to discuss the latest developments in national political affairs as well as various organizational, economic, and diplomatic issues currently at hand.

The meeting, which took place at the party’s central headquarters, began with a political presentation by Fatima Zahra Mansouri, the national coordinator of the collective leadership, followed by an extensive discussion on the priorities and challenges for the next phase, concluding with a series of positions adopted by the political bureau.

On the occasion of Ramadan, the members of the political bureau extended their greetings to King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people, wishing that the holy month would bring goodness and blessings to the kingdom and that peace and stability would prevail.

Regarding the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, the party expressed satisfaction with the diplomatic path led by the kingdom, considering that the ongoing international dynamics represent an opportunity to expedite the implementation of the autonomy initiative within the framework of national sovereignty, in line with the Security Council’s stance, which deemed the proposal a serious and realistic basis for a solution. The party also proudly noted Morocco’s election for the third consecutive time as a member of the African Union Peace and Security Council, viewing this as confirmation of the kingdom’s position within the continent and its role in matters of peace, stability, and development.

Concerning the floods that affected some regions in recent weeks, the political bureau commended the extensive mobilization undertaken by various institutions, particularly the Royal Armed Forces and the Royal Gendarmerie, along with local authorities, elected officials, and civil society organizations, highlighting that the swift response helped mitigate losses. In this context, it called for the acceleration of a comprehensive support program for the affected families, in implementation of the royal directives.

On the issue of the legal profession bill, the party reaffirmed its commitment to the principle of consultation within the components of the majority, appreciating the roles played by parliamentary groups in bridging differing views, and commending the Minister of Justice for engaging in mediation efforts, considering that the reforms initiated by the ministry reflect a desire to enhance the judicial system and improve legislative quality.

Economically, the political bureau welcomed Morocco’s participation in a high-level international gathering on strategic minerals held in the United States, deeming this step a reflection of international confidence in the kingdom’s stability and opening new investment opportunities in high-value-added sectors.

Organizationally, the political bureau noted the dynamism within the party’s structures and parallel organizations in preparation for upcoming elections, affirming that work is underway to outline the key aspects of the electoral program and enhance the party’s intellectual and ideological presence across various regions.
