The Foreign Exchange Office has announced a revision of the general instructions for currency operations for the year 2026. This includes increasing the annual allocation for “business travel” for companies to one million dirhams, a move aimed at supporting economic dynamism and enhancing Moroccan companies’ access to international markets.

The amendments also include an increase in scholarships for studying abroad, along with an enhancement of allocations for personal travel, aligning with evolving needs of citizens and businesses, and reflecting improvements in indicators related to foreign currency reserves.

The office emphasized that these measures are part of an approach to simplify procedures and enhance the flexibility of the currency system while maintaining macroeconomic balances and supporting the attractiveness of the Kingdom as an investment destination.
