The Casablanca Stock Exchange began its trading on Monday with an upward trend, as its main index, the MASI, improved by 0.23% to settle at 18,616.75 points.
The MASI.20 index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, recorded an increase of 0.56% to reach 1,439.68 points, while the MASI.ESG, which tracks companies with the best ratings, rose by 0.05% to 1,256.86 points.
Meanwhile, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies, increased by 0.42% to 1,877.17 points.
In terms of individual stocks, the strongest gains were recorded by Bank of Africa (+0.94% / 214 dirhams), Med Paper (+0.75% / 26.7 dirhams), Aradei Capital (+0.45% / 443 dirhams), CMGP Group (+0.23% / 385.9 dirhams), and the Casablanca Public Works Company (+0.12% / 846 dirhams).
Conversely, the largest declines were seen by Cartier Saada (-3.31% / 31.22 dirhams), Cash Plus (-1.66% / 290.1 dirhams), Resma (-1.38% / 355 dirhams), Auto Hall (-0.54% / 90.51 dirhams), and Stiam (-0.11% / 873 dirhams).
The MASI index had closed trading on Friday with a loss of 0.39%.
