French-Moroccan Partnership Strengthened with the Launch of “Dar Al-Masdar wal-Mustathmir” and Signing of Strategic Agreements in Casablanca
On February 19, 2026, the Embassy of the French Republic in Morocco and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco organized a ceremony in Casablanca to sign a series of agreements and institutional initiatives that reflect the depth of the economic partnership between France and Morocco and its strategic directions. The event commenced with the signing of a new lease contract between the embassy and the chamber, attended by French Ambassador to Morocco Christophe Le Cornec and Chamber President Sébastien Le Pontié. This step underscores a long-term commitment and reinforces the institutional and operational role of the chamber within the French ecosystem in Morocco in support of businesses.
The ceremony continued with the establishment of partnership agreements between the chamber and both the French Consulate General in Casablanca and the French Consulate General in Rabat. These agreements were signed by the chamber president alongside Consul General in Casablanca Aymeric Chausoville and Consul General in Rabat Olivier Ramador.
The agreements stipulate allocated appointments for business visas for chamber members and ensure the continuity of economic movement mechanisms between the two countries. They also enhance the institutional standing of the chamber as a recognized interlocutor to support businesses in their mobility and economic expansion pursuits.
A cooperation agreement was also signed between the chamber and the French Institute in Morocco, represented by its Director General Agnès Homrouzian, aiming to bolster the promotion of cultural programming and French language courses. This reflects the integration of economic and cultural diplomacy and enhances coordination within the French system in Morocco.
At the end of the ceremony, Chamber General Director Jean-Charles Damblin announced the launch of “Dar Al-Masdar wal-Mustathmir al-Faransi bil-Maghrib,” a structural platform aimed at simplifying, securing, and accelerating French business projects in the kingdom through integrated and results-oriented support, ensuring clarity of pathways and execution effectiveness.
The French Ambassador to Morocco emphasized that these initiatives, which include French language learning, professional mobility, and business support, embody the trust the French government places in the chamber, highlighting its pivotal role in the bilateral economic relationship. He also noted the renewal of the public facility “Team France Export” between Business France and the chamber in 2024 for three years, with a particular focus on supporting small and medium enterprises as a lever for the future of the French-Moroccan economic partnership, confirming that trade, investment, and human capital development are at the heart of this “win-win” partnership aimed at future sectors.
