Oil Prices Continue Decline Following Washington-Tehran Agreement
Oil prices continued to fall on Friday amid easing concerns over supply disruptions, with the United States and Iran agreeing to hold talks later today.
Brent crude futures dropped by 50 cents, or 0.74%, to reach $67.05 per barrel after a 2.75% decline at the previous session’s close.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude fell by 52 cents, or 0.82%, to $62.77 per barrel, following a 2.84% drop yesterday.
Both crude benchmarks are on track to record their first weekly decline in over a month, having fallen by more than 3% compared to their recent six-month highs reached in late January.
