Morocco will host the sixth edition of the “Maroc Capitale du Football Africain” from March 23 to 31, 2026, featuring eight African teams. This event coincides with the international break recognized by FIFA.
The Benin Football Federation confirmed through its official channels that the national team will participate in this football celebration, set to take place in the cities of Casablanca and Rabat, as part of a series of friendly matches aimed at preparing for upcoming continental qualifications.
The tournament will see the participation of teams from Libya, Niger, Benin, Palestine, Togo, Guinea, Mauritania, and Liberia, with matches scheduled between the two cities over a compact two-day program.
On March 27, 2026, Libya will face Niger, while Benin is set to meet Palestine, and Togo will compete against Guinea, with Mauritania going up against Liberia. On March 31, 2026, Liberia will play against Libya, Niger will take on Togo, and Palestine will face Mauritania, alongside a match between Guinea and Benin.
This event, which has become an annual fixture during international breaks, reinforces Morocco’s status as a preferred destination for African teams seeking a stable organizational environment and infrastructure capable of accommodating multiple football gatherings in a short time, amidst its increasing presence in hosting various competitions and sporting events on the continent.
