Moroccan Consulates in Spain Extend Working Hours Following Mass Settlement Decision
The Moroccan Embassy in Madrid and its twelve consulates across Spain prioritize serving Moroccan citizens and safeguarding their interests, as announced by official sources on Thursday.
This confirmation was made during a coordination meeting held by the central services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, conducted via video conferencing, bringing together the ministry, the Moroccan embassy in Spain, and its consulates.
According to the statement, the meeting aimed to enhance ongoing interaction with the consular network to monitor the quality of services provided to Moroccan expatriates in Spain, enabling them to complete their administrative procedures easily and effectively.
Among the measures announced is the extension of working hours to 6 PM during weekdays instead of 3 PM, starting from Monday to Friday. It was also decided to organize duty services on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays to allow citizens with appointments to carry out their procedures without obstacles.
The statement noted that the consular body will remain in a state of readiness and vigilance to serve citizens and improve the services provided, following the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI aimed at caring for Moroccans living abroad and defending their interests.
The Moroccan embassy in Madrid emphasized that these measures are intended to bring administration closer to expatriates and meet their expectations in a more flexible and professional environment, while consulates continue their efforts to ensure efficient administrative and consular services.
