JD Vance: Trump is Managing Negotiations with Iran and the Red Lines are Clear
Follow-up
U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated that President Donald Trump has established “some red lines” that Iranian negotiators are not yet prepared to acknowledge or engage with, following the recent U.S.-Iran negotiations in Geneva.
Vance added to Fox News that the U.S. administration is seeking to resolve the issue through diplomatic dialogue, while keeping all options on the table, emphasizing its readiness to escalate the situation if necessary.
He noted that certain aspects of the negotiations went well, including an agreement to hold a subsequent meeting; however, it is clear that the President has set red lines that have not yet been met with acknowledgment or engagement from the Iranian side, as reported by CNN.
U.S. officials indicated that progress was made during Tuesday meetings, but significant disagreements remain between both parties, with expectations that Iran will present more detailed proposals in the coming two weeks to bridge the gaps and clarify its position.
