In an effort to enhance the digital transformation of the educational system, Morocco has launched the “Digi School” program in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, and Huawei Morocco. This initiative marks a significant step toward modernizing education and integrating technology into classroom practices.

The conclusion of the regional hackathons was a pivotal moment, with a selection of outstanding school teams qualifying for the national training camp scheduled for February 14-16, 2026, at the National Training and Meetings Center in Rabat. During the event, these teams will present their projects to a jury composed of experts and specialists, in an experience aimed at evaluating students’ creativity, technical abilities, and innovation.

Throughout 2025, the program organized 12 regional hackathons, with more than 120 teachers and 348 students participating to identify the most distinguished teams from various regions to represent their areas at the national camp. Additionally, 100 local exhibitions were held to showcase individual and group innovations, fostering interaction and communication among various educational stakeholders.

The total number of participants exceeded 2,000 teachers and 38,000 students, reflecting the program’s broad impact on the integration of digital technology in education, promoting a culture of collaborative work and experience exchange within the school environment. The program serves as a genuine catalyst for creativity, enhancing students’ skills to meet the challenges of the digital era.

The national camp will gather the 12 qualifying teams, composed of 63 students and 13 teachers, in advanced workshops focusing on presentation and communication. They will prepare to present their projects to a jury and a wide audience of education and technology stakeholders. The camp will conclude with a showcase day and the recognition of the top three teams for their excellence in employing digital technologies to support the educational process.

The camp represents an opportunity for participants to enhance their cooperation, innovation, and teamwork skills, aligning with labor market needs and preparing them for a developing digital future in a comprehensive educational experience.

The “Digi School” program emanates from a strong partnership between the Ministry of National Education and Huawei Morocco, aimed at establishing a modern, equitable, and inclusive education system that promotes equality and encourages excellence. In this context, Jason Chen, Vice President of Huawei Morocco, emphasized that the program embodies a shared vision for a prosperous digital future, investing in training frameworks and students with the necessary digital skills to face the challenges of the digital age.

Through this partnership, both the ministry and Huawei reaffirm their commitment to creating a sustainable impact through innovation and collaboration, supporting national objectives for comprehensive digital inclusion and high-quality training, and enhancing Morocco’s position as a regional reference in modern digital education.
