Casablanca is hosting the second edition of the Sculpture and Ceramics Forum in honor of Abdelhak Seguin and Abdelkarim Wazzani.

With the support of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication – Culture Sector, in partnership with the Casablanca municipality, and in coordination with the local development company Casa Events and the Higher School of Fine Arts in Casablanca, the Atelier Art Association is organizing the second edition of the Sculpture and Ceramics Forum at the Heritage Space (formerly the Sacred Heart Cathedral) from February 12 to 15, 2026.

This edition is dedicated to honoring one of the prominent figures in the history of contemporary Moroccan sculpture, the creative artist Abdelkarim Wazzani, whose works have marked the artistic memory and established new visual references. Additionally, this edition bears the name of the artist Abdelhak Seguin, in appreciation of his rich experience that blends aesthetic heritage with a spirit of experimentation, creatively interacting between tradition and modernity. Through this symbolic gathering of two reference names, the forum emphasizes its commitment to the value of recognition and gratitude, creating an artistic moment where memory intersects with dreams. The forum aims to restore the esteem of sculpture and ceramics, by organizing a collective exhibition for Moroccan and foreign artists, as well as a specialized seminar on the theme “Sculpture and Artistic Ceramics: Creative Experiences and Aesthetic Values” on the morning of Friday, November 13. This will reflect on the experiences of artists who have contributed to transforming sculpture and ceramics from their traditional forms to contemporary interpretations, with participation from researchers and critics from inside Morocco and abroad. Furthermore, there will be a workshop on sculptural and ceramic art for students of the Higher School of Fine Arts in Casablanca, in addition to training workshops led by Japanese artist Ichiko Inoshi and Canadian creator Michel Gauthier, alongside prominent Moroccan artists.

The forum will kick off with a collective opening exhibition at the Heritage Space (formerly the Sacred Heart Cathedral) on February 12 at 6:30 PM and will continue at the Higher School of Fine Arts until February 28, 2026. This represents the aesthetic core of the event, where artists from diverse backgrounds come together in an open creative dialogue. The exhibition celebrates sculpture and ceramics through new approaches that range between reality and imagination, craftsmanship and innovation, as well as through an open meeting with the honorees on the afternoon of Friday, November 13. Symbolic venues in the city have been chosen to host the forum’s activities, such as the garden of the Higher School of Fine Arts and the exhibition hall of Farid Belkahia, facilitating dynamic interactions among artists, audiences, professionals, and cultural actors.

To translate this artistic momentum into tangible creative action, the organizing body has prepared a diverse program. Here are the details:
