LAMALF Transforms Moroccan Stadiums into Iconic Light Landmarks for the Africa Cup of Nations

LAMALF Group leverages its accumulated technical and architectural expertise to support Morocco’s hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations, which began on December 21, 2025, and will continue until January 18, 2026. The group’s clear objective is to transform national stadiums into iconic architectural landmarks capable of creating a strong visual presence at night and enhancing the sensory experience for fans in the stands and viewers on screens.

Throughout the tournament, the group is reshaping sports spaces into vibrant platforms where lighting integrates with architectural design and sound elements in a holistic vision that captures decisive moments, injects additional doses of fan excitement, and reflects a modern, ambitious, and brilliant Morocco on the international stage, all while preserving its deep-rooted identity.

Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat stands out as a prime example of this initiative, being an advanced model of sports infrastructure that rivals the world’s finest stadiums. LAMALF teams implemented the lighting project using a comprehensive approach that encompassed all stages, from research and engineering design to installation, programming, and operation, relying on a high-precision technical system to ensure continuity throughout the competition days.

The internal lighting system covers various stadium facilities, from the pitch and stands to the movement pathways and public spaces, ensuring optimal visual comfort, spectator safety, and improved broadcast image quality, while strictly adhering to international standards, particularly those set by FIFA.

Beyond its technical functionality, the stadium’s facade has been designed as an integrated visual display space, equipped with Pixel LED strips capable of displaying up to 60 images per second, controlled via an advanced media server. This system allows for programmed light shows synchronized with the real-time events of the matches, adaptable to evolving situations, and supported by permanent laser beams that enhance the stadium’s nighttime radiance and establish it as a prominent architectural beacon in the heart of the capital.

To amplify this visual momentum, LAMALF also integrated sound systems distributed at strategic points inside and outside the stadium to elevate sensory immersion for the audience, creating a cohesive experience blending lighting and audio effects, attuned to moments of excitement and sports celebration.

In a statement, LAMALF management emphasized that their mission is to showcase architectural beauty and create a visual and emotional rhythm capable of interacting with the pulse of the matches, transforming stadiums into lively spaces that leave a lasting impression on fans’ memories.

This technological mobilization is not limited to Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium but extends to Postal Stadium and the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, as well as Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier, as part of a vision aimed at establishing a unified lighting identity for national stadiums that possesses unique visual characteristics easily recognizable, thereby enhancing Morocco’s athletic and architectural prominence within and beyond Africa.

With this presence, LAMALF affirms its position as a leading Moroccan player in urban and architectural lighting, a key partner in shaping the nighttime landscape of the kingdom during major continental sporting events.
