Five years after the Abraham Accords, Rabat and Tel Aviv deepen their security cooperation.
In the context of the fifth anniversary of the resumption of relations between Morocco and Israel under the Abraham Accords, the third meeting of the joint military committee between the two countries was held in Tel Aviv, culminating in the signing of the joint action plan for 2026.
Express TV learned that this meeting took place under the supervision of specialized planning and foreign relations bodies within the Israeli military establishment. It provided an opportunity to discuss the progress of existing cooperation and prospects for its development in the upcoming phases, particularly regarding coordination and capacity building.
The week-long visit included professional working meetings, as well as field visits to several military units and institutions linked to security industries, where viewpoints were exchanged on various matters of mutual interest.
According to circulating information, this phase was crowned with a strategic discussion session that focused on capacity-building approaches from a strategic perspective, in addition to defining common objectives for cooperation between the two armies in the next phase.
This visit marks a new milestone in deepening security cooperation between Morocco and Israel, amidst a regional context characterized by increasing security challenges, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the resumption of relations between the two countries.
