Recently, the filming of the new series “Ba Al-Habib,” directed by Younes Rkab, has commenced. This work highlights family relationships through a comedic social lens, featuring Moroccan stars from different generations.

The series tells the story of a traditional Moroccan family whose members navigate daily life filled with humorous situations and surprises. The central character is the father, who faces daily challenges with his wife and children after they have grown up and left home. The work weaves together classic social themes with light-hearted comedy, aiming to transport the audience back to authentic Moroccan vibes and social values.

Abdallah Farkous, one of the series’ stars, praised the experience, calling it a rich artistic journey that brings together veteran and emerging artists. He expressed his joy at collaborating with a cooperative and cohesive team, adding in a statement to media outlets that the role is complex and requires a deep understanding of the character. However, he found great success elements in the support from the team and the skilled direction of Younes Rkab.

Fatima Washai also expressed her happiness at working with a diverse cast, noting that the character she portrays differs from her real life but that she successfully delivered it thanks to her experience and the director’s guidance.

Hassan Foolan considered the series an opportunity to create a new experience that blends drama and comedy, expressing his appreciation for working alongside colleagues from both older and newer generations.

As for the director Younes Rkab, he stated that the series represents a unique experience in Moroccan drama, striving to deliver a high-quality comedic social work while respecting the scripts and characters, all while emphasizing authentic Moroccan character. He noted that the choice of Abdallah Farkous and other actors was designed to create a balance between the two generations, ensuring harmonious artistic performance aligned with the vision of the work.

All the stars commended the script written by Kawtar Mtawe, for its seamless and realistic blend of comedy and social drama. They also praised the efforts of the production company in providing full support to the crew and enabling necessary resources to ensure the work’s success in a manner befitting Moroccan drama.

“Ba Al-Habib” aims to be a comprehensive artistic experience that combines entertainment with social messages, while restoring to Moroccan families a part of their traditional values and relationships, all while maintaining the humor and comedy that define local productions.

The series is set to air on Morocco’s Second Channel, where the Moroccan audience eagerly awaits the debut of this new work, promising plenty of comedic situations and important human messages.
