Morocco’s Atlas Lions Advance to Africa Cup Final… Bono Seals Victory Against Nigeria
The Moroccan national team secured a spot in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final in a thrilling match filled with excitement and tension, overcoming Nigeria in a penalty shootout (4-2) after a goalless draw that persisted throughout regular and extra time.

With this victory, Morocco returns to the continental final after a 22-year absence, since their last final in 2004, aiming to reclaim the African title that has eluded them since their win in 1976, this time on home soil in front of their supporters.
The Atlas Lions will face Senegal in the final, scheduled for Sunday, January 18, 2026, following their victory over Egypt in the other semifinal match.
