The Salé local prison is hosting a closing ceremony for the 18th session and the launch of the 19th session of the “Reconciliation” program today, Friday, December 26, 2025. This initiative, aimed at inmates incarcerated for cases related to extremism and terrorism, is part of efforts to rehabilitate and reintegrate them into society while enhancing their awareness of national and community values.
The ceremony will be attended by several official figures, including the Director General of Prisons and Reintegration, the head of the Reconciliation Center, the Secretary-General of the Mohammedan League of Scholars, the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Council, and the coordinator of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Prisoners, alongside institutional partners, experts, and instructors involved in the program sessions.
Participants will showcase artistic creations during the ceremony, including a presentation commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Green March, highlighting indicators of pride in the national cause and UN resolution 2797. A video will also be displayed, documenting the crucial stages of the program, which spans three and a half months of training and rehabilitation, emphasizing the progress made by participants.
The head of the Reconciliation Center will deliver a speech during the event outlining the training and rehabilitation path that participants in the 19th session will follow, reaffirming the program’s commitment to continuing its efforts in positively reintegrating inmates.
