The King’s Attorney in Kelaa Sraghna Leads a Coordinated Meeting to Strengthen Efforts Against Violence Towards Women
On the afternoon of Monday, December 1, 2025, the Kelaa Sraghna Court of First Instance hosted a coordinated meeting chaired by Dr. Saïd Boutouil, the King’s Attorney at the court. The meeting saw the participation of representatives from health, national solidarity, education, and the local scientific council, along with directors of women’s shelters in Kelaa, Attaouiya, and Tamelalt.
This meeting is part of the implementation of the 23rd National Campaign Against Violence Towards Women, organized this year under the slogan “Together to Affirm Women’s Right to a Life Free from Real and Digital Violence.” The gathering provided an opportunity to unify perspectives among various stakeholders to strengthen institutional coordination and ensure rapid and effective responses to cases of violence recorded at the regional level.
In his opening remarks, King’s Attorney Dr. Saïd Boutouil emphasized the importance of adopting a participatory approach that brings together judicial bodies, governmental sectors, educational institutions, and religious organizations. He affirmed that protecting women from all forms of violence is a shared responsibility that requires continuous collective engagement. He also urged the promotion of positive citizenship values and equality within society, and increasing legal awareness among various segments of the population.
The meeting resulted in scheduling a series of field visits to educational institutions aimed at raising awareness among students about the dangers of child marriage and its negative consequences. Efforts will also focus on integrating a rights-based approach within the school environment through meetings and awareness-raising lessons.
In terms of health services, an agreement was reached to mobilize specialized medical teams in coordination between the public prosecutor’s office and the regional health directorate. This aims to provide psychological and medical support to women victims of violence, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance within their protection and care pathways.
The meeting was attended by the deputies of the King’s Attorney, alongside regional officials from health, national solidarity, religious affairs, and national education sectors, in addition to civil society and human rights activists, collectively affirming the importance of strengthening institutional efforts to combat gender-based violence.
The outcomes of this meeting are expected to represent a new step toward enhancing listening, guidance, and protection mechanisms for women in vulnerable situations, and to establish a culture of rejecting violence and building a more just and equitable society.
