The administration of the local prison in Ait Melloul 2 has responded to claims circulating on social media regarding prisoner (E.E.), who is detained in connection with the Gdeim Izik events, affirming that these allegations are false and baseless.
The administration clarified that the inmate was taken to the regional hospital in Inzegane on December 15, 2025, for a scheduled medical appointment, where he underwent examinations by an ENT specialist. The prisoner was later referred to the Hassan II regional hospital in Agadir for further health monitoring, with an additional appointment set if necessary.
The administration noted that the inmate had previously received medication treatment, which enabled him to avoid any surgical procedures. It confirmed that his health condition is stable and normal, emphasizing that all circulating rumors regarding his health are false and disseminated by parties opposed to the kingdom.
Furthermore, the administration added that the inmate has passed a written examination for admission into a master’s program at the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences of Ibn Zohr University in Agadir, reflecting once again his stable health and ability to pursue his academic activities normally.
