Skitamwi: We are Ready to Win Against the UAE and Have the Desire to Reach the Arab Cup Final
The coach of the Moroccan national reserve team, Tarik Skitamwi, confirmed that the national players are entering the Arab Cup semi-final match against the UAE team with strong determination and a clear desire to win and qualify for the final. He made these statements during a press conference held on Sunday, ahead of the anticipated match.
Skitamwi explained that the team’s preparations are, as always, taking place in a positive atmosphere characterized by high discipline and a strong sense of responsibility. He indicated that the players’ focus has reached high levels due to the significance of the game, which is the only gateway to the final. He added that the squad is determined to put in extra effort on the field to please Moroccan fans.
The reserve coach noted that facing the UAE will not be easy, given the strength of the opponent and the presence of talented players, especially in the offensive sector, including naturalized elements with speed and high technical quality. He emphasized that the technical staff has worked on analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent, focusing on defensive solidity, compactness between lines, and playing with high concentration to minimize both their individual and collective threats.
Skitamwi stressed that the significant moral support players receive from Moroccan fans, whom he described as the “real motivation” for the team, serves as an additional source of strength to overcome challenges. He highlighted that the national team has dealt intelligently and professionally with the constraints faced during the preparatory phase, whether related to the lack of friendly matches or injuries.
Regarding the players, the national coach expressed his happiness at the return of Abderrazak Hamdallah, confirming that he is a player with a strong national spirit and readiness to serve the team, whether as a starter or a substitute. He also clarified that the health condition of some players, such as Taysoudali, is continuously improving, and their participation will be decided before the kickoff.
Skitamwi further acknowledged the strength and cohesion of the group, stressing that the national team remains above any individual considerations or club affiliations. All players are treated equally in wearing the national jersey and are utilized according to game scenarios and tactical requirements.
