Royal Instructions to Launch an Urgent Program for the Rehabilitation of Flood-Affected Areas in Safi
Safi – In accordance with the royal instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and support him, the government has launched a comprehensive program to rehabilitate the areas affected by the exceptional floods that occurred in the city of Safi on Sunday, December 14, 2025. These floods resulted in human losses and widespread material damage affecting several neighborhoods and essential infrastructure.
The program aims to provide an urgent and effective response to the needs of the population through a set of emergency measures. This includes immediate assistance for families that lost their property, the repair of damaged homes and businesses, along with support for their owners to ensure the preservation of their dignity and the attainment of decent living conditions.
This initiative comes within the context of mobilizing all available human and logistical resources and enhancing coordination among local authorities and stakeholders, to ensure the smooth and gradual implementation of various aspects of the program. This reflects His Majesty’s commitment to stand by citizens and respond swiftly to the impacts of natural disasters while promoting a comprehensive solidarity approach for sustainable rehabilitation and the prevention of future risks.
