Moussaingou: Morocco Prepares for an Extraordinary Edition of the “CAN” and Breaks Records Before Kick-Off

Moussaingou, the Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football, praised the significant efforts made by Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Moroccan Football Federation, to promote the sport and develop its infrastructure in the kingdom, stating that what has been achieved makes it natural for Moroccans to dream of seeing the Africa Cup of Nations stay at home in 2025.

Speaking about the edition to be hosted by Morocco, Moussaingou noted that the upcoming tournament seems set to be “an unprecedented football celebration,” emphasizing that it will break records in terms of organization, attendance, and logistics.

The CAF official mentioned that Morocco has created nearly 50 fan zones distributed across various regions of the country, considering this step a first in the competition’s history and a means to ensure the football atmosphere reaches all demographics, especially as he anticipates all matches of the national team to be played in front of sold-out crowds.

Moussaingou also revealed that the “FAN ID” has surpassed one million cards issued so far, reflecting the level of enthusiasm accompanying Morocco’s preparations for this exceptional edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.
