Khadija Qara leads Khouribga to notable success in the national campaign to stop violence against women and girls.
In the context of the national movement against gender-based violence and in response to the 23rd national campaign to end violence against women and girls, the city of Khouribga hosted a distinguished awareness initiative organized by the Women’s Initiative Association under the slogan: “Equality in Legislation… is the guarantee for living in safety.”
The event, supported by the regional committee of the National Initiative for Human Development, the National Social Solidarity Agency, and the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family, in coordination with the regional committee to combat violence against women and girls and the social vigilance committee of the Khouribga province, brought together a group of officials, institutions, and partners, affirming that the protection of women is a collective responsibility that cannot be postponed.
Notably, the event showcased the remarkable success and calm leadership demonstrated by Khadija Qara, president of the Women’s Initiative Association. Through her professionalism and continuous engagement, she transformed the activity into an impactful station in the path of awareness and empowerment. Her organizational presence, attention to detail, and ability to create harmony among various actors turned the initiative into a model of responsible civic work.
The meeting was attended by the deputy public prosecutor and president of the regional committee to combat violence against women, along with the regional director of the National Social Solidarity Agency for the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region, the provincial director of the agency, and representatives from the social action department in the Khouribga province, in addition to members of the agency and representatives of civil society organizations associated with the social vigilance committee.
The seriousness of the discourse, clarity of the message, and the emphasis on the necessity of developing legislation to ensure a safe life for women and girls were the main themes of this gathering.
The strong institutional presence provided robust support for the efforts made locally, sending a clear message that combating violence is not merely a slogan but an ongoing initiative that requires comprehensive mobilization. Time and again, Khadija Qara proves that building community awareness requires a leadership style that combines proximity to citizens with professionalism, courage in addressing social issues, and openness to all partners. Through this initiative, the association has reinforced its reputation as a serious civil component striving to instill values of equality and support women across various pathways.
With this event, Khouribga reaffirms its leadership in adopting citizen initiatives and renews its commitment to standing alongside women to advocate for just legislation and ensuring a violence-free community that respects human dignity and grants everyone their right to security.
