Kenitra to Host the Fifth Edition of the International Road Race Celebrating the 70th Independence Day Anniversary
The city of Kenitra is preparing to host a prominent sports event on Sunday, December 28, 2025, starting at 10 AM in front of the provincial headquarters. This event will feature the fifth edition of the international ten-kilometer road race, commemorating the 70th anniversary of Independence Day. The race is organized by the Moroccan Association of Friends of Road Races, in partnership with Kenitra municipality, and with support from the provincial authorities, under the supervision of the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation.
The event will see participation from a selection of elite Moroccan runners, alongside renowned African athletes known for their excellence in road racing, thus enhancing the international character of the event. The expected number of participants is around 1,500 competitors of both genders, reflecting the growing interest in this sporting event.
Significant financial prizes will be allocated to the top five finishers, both male and female, in addition to comprehensive media coverage accompanying the various stages of the race to ensure wide following of this distinguished sports event.
