Russian company Gazprom has announced that global consumption of natural gas experienced significant growth in 2025, surpassing the record levels recorded last year.
In a statement, the company indicated that preliminary estimates show an increase in global gas consumption of 25 billion cubic meters compared to 2024.
Furthermore, this growth follows a record consumption level in 2024, which reached 4.17 trillion cubic meters, marking an increase of 100 billion cubic meters from 2023.
Gazprom anticipates that global consumption will continue to grow by more than a third by 2050, reaching over 5.7 trillion cubic meters.
