Kelaa Sraghna: Preparations Begin for the 27th Edition of the National Festival of the Sidi Rahal Boudaali Season
Sidi Rahal in the Kelaa Sraghna region is preparing to host the 27th edition of the National Festival of the Sidi Rahal Boudaali Season, one of the most prominent spiritual and heritage events in the Marrakech-Safi region, scheduled to take place from December 6 to 9, 2025.
This significant event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Communication, the Marrakech-Safi Regional Council, the Kelaa Sraghna Province, and the Kelaa Multi-Specialty Clinic. The Human Development Association of Ikhlas Rahalia is responsible for the festival’s organization.
The theme for this edition is: “Sufi Culture and Intangible Heritage: Pillars for Preserving the Territorial Unity of the Kingdom,” reflecting the vision of the organizing bodies. The theme aims to highlight the deep-rooted Sufi legacy of the Sidi Rahal Boudaali Zaouia and to solidify the value of intangible heritage in enhancing national belonging and preserving the deeply-rooted Moroccan identity.
The festival features a diverse program that balances spiritual, cultural, and entertainment activities, including:
- Sports competitions attracting the youth of the region and neighboring areas.
- Artistic evenings enriching the nightlife of the region.
- Medical campaigns coordinated with health partners.
- Sufi nights featuring bands and praise that revive the spiritual heritage of the Zaouia.
- Intellectual seminars discussing Moroccan Sufism and intangible heritage.
- Traditional equestrian exhibitions (Tbourida), which are distinctive marks of the season.
Organizers hope that this year’s edition will serve as a unique opportunity to combine spiritual celebration with traditional artistic entertainment and contribute to boosting the economic dynamics in the region through commercial and tourist activity.
Every year, the Sidi Rahal Boudaali season attracts broad attendance from visitors across the region, solidifying its place as a key fixture in the cultural and spiritual agenda of Kelaa Sraghna.
