By Royal Instructions: The Ministry of the Interior Announces Proactive Measures to Address Weather Fluctuations During Winter
In implementation of the high royal instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, the Ministry of the Interior has announced the elevation of mobilization levels to confront the potential repercussions of weather fluctuations during the current winter season, in coordination with various governmental sectors and relevant institutions.
The statement clarified that the ministry directed regional governors and provincial governors to enhance mechanisms for monitoring climatic conditions, ensuring coordination among various stakeholders, and taking precautionary measures to protect the population and mitigate potential damages.
A command and monitoring center has also been activated within the ministry, and regional committees have been established to follow up as part of the national plan to confront cold waves for the 2025-2026 winter season, updating field data and expanding intervention scope to ensure greater effectiveness in providing support to target groups.
These measures benefit residents of several localities under 28 provinces and regions by providing food aid, blankets, firewood, and ensuring immediate intervention for those in critical situations, as well as securing road and communication links and protecting livestock.
The ministry emphasized the continued mobilization of various public services and authorities to alleviate the suffering of citizens and ensure their safety and property, urging everyone, particularly those living in affected areas, to remain vigilant, adhere to safety guidelines, and avoid risks during travel amid these climatic fluctuations.
