Aziz Akhannouch, the head of the National Rally of Independents party, announced today, Saturday, December 20, in Tangier, the release of a new collective book titled “Path of Achievements,” which documents the accomplishments of the party and the government, showcasing various projects and reforms implemented over the past years.
This announcement came during the conclusion of the “Path of Achievements” forum in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, marking its twelfth session, which Akhannouch described as a moment for an honest and comprehensive evaluation of the government’s work and an opportunity to listen directly to the concerns and aspirations of citizens.
In his speech, Akhannouch emphasized that the new book does not merely recount figures and data but provides a comprehensive reading of a political and developmental journey that began years ago, founded on communication, trust, and participation. He explained that this journey started with field visits across various regions of the kingdom, during which thousands of citizens were listened to, contributing to the shaping of the 2021 electoral program and its implementation in practice.
The party leader pointed out that the government has operated within a challenging national and international context, marked by a series of crises, from drought to inflation and the Al Haouz earthquake. However, he stated that this did not prevent the government from making what he termed courageous decisions while maintaining the major balances of the social state and safeguarding the resilience of the national economy.
He added that the results of this path have begun to reflect in improved growth indicators, a decrease in the deficit, and continued economic dynamism across various regions, alongside the continuation of social support programs, affirming that “a strong economy is fundamental to building a strong social state.”
Akhannouch stressed that the “Path of Achievements” was not just a communicative exercise but a genuine participatory experience, involving tens of thousands of citizens through direct meetings and the “Listen” platform, considering that constructive criticism remains a vital lever for improving performance and correcting imbalances.
In conclusion, he clarified that the “Path of Achievements” book will be distributed to participants in the meetings as a reference document open for discussion and evaluation, and a collective call to continue engaging in the development process. He also announced that the next phase will transition to the “Path of the Future,” with a greater focus on listening to professionals and shaping public policies that respond to the aspirations of Morocco and Moroccans.
