On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the Governor of the Ain Sebaa – Hay Mohammadi region, Mohamed Taous, presided over the activities of the regional cross-country championship, celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the Green March and the sixty-ninth anniversary of Independence Day.

This sporting event was organized by the Provincial Directorate of National Education, in collaboration with the Ain Sebaa – Hay Mohammadi municipality and the regional branch of the Royal Moroccan Federation of School Sports. It took place at the socio-sports complex in Ain Sebaa, with the participation of 1,570 students from various educational levels, under the supervision of physical education inspectors and 60 teachers, alongside 36 judges.

The championship witnessed the attendance of administrative and security officials from the region, as well as representatives from local councils, parents’ associations, and several educational and union bodies.

Under the slogan “School Sports for a Quality School,” the championship aims to promote school sports, highlight promising athletic talents, and energize school life. Special segments were dedicated to the participation of students with special needs in the 100-meter flat race, where the Governor officially started the race and awarded prizes to the winners in all individual and team events.

This initiative reflects the efforts of the Provincial Directorate and local authorities in fostering a culture of sports within schools, serving as a platform for discovering talents and nurturing a spirit of fair competition among youth.
