The Liberals Praise the Security Council’s Decision and Review the Government’s Priorities as well as the Party’s Organizational and Parliamentary Projects

The National Rally of Independents praises the UN Security Council decision and outlines the government’s priorities and the party’s organizational and parliamentary projects.

On Monday, November 3, 2025, the political bureau of the National Rally of Independents held a meeting chaired by Aziz Akhannouch to discuss the current political, social, and economic situation, as well as internal organizational aspects of the party.

The political bureau reaffirmed its commendation of the recent UN Security Council resolution which establishes the autonomy initiative as a reference for resolving the conflict over Western Sahara. It applauded the continuous efforts of royal diplomacy over the past 26 years in reinforcing the territorial integrity of the Kingdom. The bureau called on various national forces to strengthen national unity and contribute to the success of the autonomy project under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.

Moreover, the political bureau highlighted the contents of the draft finance law for 2026, considering them a reflection of the government’s commitment to implement royal directives and enhance social orientation through improved social protection, development of education and healthcare, and support for citizens’ purchasing power, alongside structural economic reforms to stimulate investment and maintain the state’s financial balances.

The bureau emphasized the importance of institutional discussions regarding the regulatory laws governing elections, asserting that they contribute to safeguarding the democratic path and deepening citizens’ rights, and praised the continuous consultation methodology with various political forces to enhance trust in the democratic process.

On the parliamentary front, the party commended its members for their positive engagement in discussing the draft finance law and presenting practical proposals that reflect citizens’ priorities and support development.

The political bureau also celebrated the success of the “Achievements Path” tours, reaffirming the continuation of direct communication with citizens and addressing their concerns through new stops covering various regions of the Kingdom.

At the conclusion of the meeting, following consultation with the political bureau, Moulay Rashid Afami was appointed as the party coordinator in the Béni Mellal region.
