The 14th International Date Palm Festival in Morocco attracted over 94,646 visitors.

According to a statement from the organizers, this edition, held in Erfoud from October 29 to November 2 under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, featured diverse participation from exhibitors and significant visitor turnout, reflecting the ongoing success of this major agricultural event. The festival registered participation from over 220 exhibitors and nine foreign countries, achieving a turnover exceeding 38 million dirhams.

The program of the 14th edition, organized by the Moroccan International Date Exhibition Association under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, and with the support of the National Agency for the Development of Oases and Argan Trees, included an investment forum, thematic workshops, practical presentations, business meetings, a scientific day, as well as cultural events and a date product competition.

The exhibition occupied a total area of 40,000 square meters, divided into several thematic sections, including regional pavilions, sponsor and institutional areas, a date market, and sections for local products and agricultural supplies and services.

The motto of this year’s edition reflected a growing collective awareness of the challenges related to water scarcity, desertification, and climate change, which threaten the sustainability of Moroccan oases, recognized as true bastions of biodiversity and culture, relying closely on water resources to maintain their ecological, economic, and social balance.

The International Date Palm Festival in Morocco primarily aims to mobilize public and private stakeholders around practical solutions for integrated and sustainable water resource management, serving the development of the date palm sector and revitalizing oasis areas.
