The High Council of the Judiciary has confirmed that the performance of the financial crime divisions in Rabat, Casablanca, Fez, and Marrakech has shown significant improvement recently, reflecting the efforts made to enhance the effectiveness of the judiciary in combating corruption and protecting public funds.

In its 2024 report, the council noted that the total number of judicial decisions issued in financial crime cases reached 416, indicating a positive pace in resolving such complex cases often marked by numerous prosecutions.

This improvement, according to the High Council, results from the development of judicial work methods and intensified specialized training for judges dealing with financial crimes, along with the adoption of new approaches aimed at accelerating decisions and ensuring the quality of judgments.

The council emphasized that these outcomes are part of the judiciary’s efforts to establish principles of transparency and integrity, reinforcing citizens’ trust in justice as a fundamental pillar of the rule of law and institutions.

The High Council of the Judiciary is expected to continue its support for financial crime divisions by improving human and logistical resources, and updating mechanisms for tracking cases to ensure greater efficiency and effectiveness in fighting financial and administrative corruption.
