The Casablanca Stock Exchange commenced trading on Friday with an upward trend, as its main index, the “MAZI,” recorded an increase of 0.24 percent, settling at 19,452.02 points.
The “MASI.20” index, reflecting the performance of 20 listed companies, grew by 0.31 percent to reach 1,590 points, while the MASI.ESG index, which tracks the top-rated companies, rose by 0.37 percent to 1,317.91 points.
Conversely, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the exchange, declined by 0.19 percent to 1,880.09 points.
Previously, the “MAZI” index had closed on Wednesday with a loss of 0.8 percent.
