In a new step towards enhancing participatory planning and achieving spatial justice, the Governor of the Caidate of Qalaat Seraghna, Mr. Samir El Yedidi, chaired the inaugural meeting for launching a series of consultative meetings related to the new generation of the integrated territorial development program. This event took place in the Mohammed Al-Mouaadeen Hall at the governorate’s headquarters.
This initiative aims to lay the foundations for sustainable and equitable development that aligns with the High Royal Guidelines and is rooted in a comprehensive territorial approach that considers the region’s specificities and current challenges.
In his guiding address, the governor emphasized the necessity of making this phase an opportunity to rethink a local development model focused on supporting investment, encouraging economic initiatives, and innovative projects, ensuring the improvement of human development indicators and enhancing the quality of life for citizens. He also called for collective engagement from various stakeholders, including local communities, civil society, and the private sector, to ensure the effective implementation of the program’s contents.
The meeting included technical presentations by heads of departments at the governorate, showcasing the current situation regarding infrastructure and social services, with a focus on the priorities for the upcoming phase in the fields of education, health, employment, and spatial planning.
Participants expressed their appreciation for this initiative, highlighting its importance as a genuine starting point for building a developmental vision that meets the aspirations of the population and makes the Caidate of Qalaat Seraghna a more attractive space for investment and a vital area for achieving spatial and social balance.
