The Administrative Court in Casablanca ruled, on Wednesday, to dismiss the president of the Berrchid commune along with several of his deputies and councilors, in response to a petition from the provincial governor following reports revealing serious misconduct in local governance.

The decision came after an administrative process that involved sending inquiries to the members and granting them a period to respond. However, the clarifications provided were insufficient, prompting the specialized committee to submit a detailed report to the governor, who referred the case to the administrative court.

The dismissal included the commune president Tarik Al-Qudayri (Independence Party), along with his deputies Abdel Rahim Al-Kamali, Abdel Ghani Al-Chakir, Abdel Salam Zad Al-Khayr, and Alal Al-Nasiri, in addition to three other councilors.

Data indicates instances of conflicts of interest and illegal exploitation of public facilities, alongside financial and administrative irregularities. The decision is based on Article 64 of the Organic Law 113.14, which allows the governor to request the dismissal of members upon proving violations.
