Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mahdi Bennani, inaugurated the Cultural House in Berkan this Friday morning, following its renovation and modernization, transforming it into one of the most prominent cultural institutions at the national level.
The aim of this project is to provide an open space for the city’s residents and youth to foster creativity, learning, and skill development, aligning with the ministry’s vision to make culture accessible to everyone and to promote values of openness and positive citizenship.
The Cultural House features a variety of facilities, including a modern auditorium with a seating capacity of 474, a dedicated area for children to encourage early engagement with the arts, and a reading room for adults to enhance the culture of reading and research.
Additionally, the institution includes a space for information technology and multimedia to keep pace with digital transformations, an art exhibition showcasing the creativity of local and national artists, and a music academy for youth to learn the fundamentals of playing instruments and honing their artistic talents.
The Cultural House in Berkan is expected to significantly enhance the local cultural scene, providing an artistic outlet that contributes to the cultural vitality of the eastern region.
