Marrakech police manage to arrest a French citizen wanted internationally on attempted murder charges
Marrakech police, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, were able to apprehend a 23-year-old French national of Algerian descent, who is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by French judicial authorities on Monday, November 17, 2025.
The suspect was identified through the International Criminal Police Organization’s database, indicating he is wanted based on a request from the National Central Bureau in Paris for suspected involvement in an attempted murder case within a criminal gang.
The arrest and search operation led to the discovery of two pieces of hashish in the suspect’s possession, along with a sum of money in Algerian currency.
The suspect has been placed in custody pending extradition procedures, in accordance with the directives of the competent public prosecutor. The Interpol office in Rabat is responsible for notifying its French counterpart about the arrest.
This action is part of international security cooperation and aligns with Moroccan authorities’ efforts to pursue individuals wanted internationally for transnational crime.
