Doha Film Institute Announces Strategic Partnerships to Support the Doha Film Festival 2025

The Doha Film Institute has announced multiple partnerships with Qatari and international entities, aimed at realizing the vision of the Doha Film Festival, scheduled for November 20 to 28, 2025.

According to a statement from the organizers received by Hespress, “the festival brings together a dynamic network of companies and institutions that support innovation, storytelling, and cultural communication, reflecting Qatar’s growing role as a center for creative collaboration and a bridge between the Arab world and the international arts community.”

The statement emphasized that “the efforts of prominent national entities, companies, and cultural institutions come together to celebrate the spirit of creativity and community that distinguishes the Doha Film Festival.”

The same source added that “the festival enjoys support from international partners across various global creative industries, who share the Doha Film Institute’s commitment to diverse storytelling and its belief in cinema’s ability to connect people around the world.” It noted that these “strategic partnerships play a vital role in enhancing the audience experience, supporting filmmakers, and providing a vibrant platform for meaningful and constructive dialogue.”

Fatima Hassan Al-Rumaihi, director of the festival and CEO of the Doha Film Institute, stated: “Collaboration is at the core of our activities at the Doha Film Institute, and thus, the support from our partners in Qatar and around the globe enhances our shared vision of making the Doha Film Festival a space for creative flourishing and idea exchange, with culture serving as a bridge that connects nations and communities.” She continued, “Our partners, old and new, are key players in this new and distinctive chapter of our creative journey, ensuring that our stories reach a wide audience, and their steadfast commitment embodies our shared belief that cinema is a universal language capable of inspiring empathy, dialogue, and positive change.”

The statement indicated that “continuing a long-standing relationship with the Doha Film Institute, this year’s partners include Katara Cultural Village as the ‘Cultural Partner,’ serving as the main venue for festival events.” It also noted, “Qatar Media City participates as the ‘Main Partner,’ with ‘Visit Qatar’ as the ‘Strategic Partner,’ reflecting a unified commitment to supporting the creative industry in Qatar.”

The list of “Notable Partners” for the festival includes Rosewood Doha, Qatari Diar, and Lusail City, while the contributing partners include the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar Museums, Year of Culture, Old Doha Port, Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, and Qatar Airways as the “Official Carrier,” along with Msheireb Museums as the “Contributing Education Partner.”

Prominent design partner Doha Design also stands out, along with valuable contributions from “Supporter Partners” Hamad International Airport, Vox Cinemas, and Sanunu.

According to the organizers, the Doha Film Festival 2025 “has a group of media partners that includes Al Arabi 2 as the ‘Official Broadcast Partner,’ Al-Araby newspaper and website, Al Jazeera 360, Deadline, I Love Qatar, Screen International, Tod, and Variety magazine. Kyomunication returns as the social media partner.”

The festival’s circle of friends includes Aldo Coppola, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, the French Embassy in Qatar, Katara Studios, the Qatar Red Crescent Society, West Bay Beach, as well as partners Geekdom, Art of Cards, Game Station, and Store 974.

The Doha Film Festival will run from November 20 to 28, 2025, marking what the organizing body describes as “a new chapter in the journey of the Doha Film Institute towards nurturing regional talent and supporting authentic and timely cinematic stories.”
