The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) announced on Monday, November 10, 2025, the approval of five specialized offices to assess companies applying for the “Responsible Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” label. The selected offices are Certi Trust, Bureau Veritas, Targetup Consulting, KPMG Morocco, and SGS Morocco.

This label was launched in May 2025 with the aim of supporting Moroccan small and medium-sized enterprises in adopting and developing responsible practices concerning sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The choice of these five offices was based on precise criteria, including expertise in social responsibility, mastery of national and international standards, independence, and methodological accuracy, ensuring an objective and transparent evaluation that aligns with internationally recognized best practices.

Through this initiative, CGEM aims to enhance the sustainability, competitiveness, and attractiveness of Moroccan enterprises, highlighting their role in economic and social development, while fostering a culture of responsible business practices and shared value.

The accreditation of these offices marks a crucial step in building an integrated system for social responsibility within the national economic fabric. It provides a reliable and unified framework for evaluating corporate practices and offers a label of distinction for small and medium enterprises that can improve their image and enhance their opportunities in local and international markets.

However, the greatest challenge, according to observers, lies in the actual engagement of companies in adopting the principles of social responsibility, which are sometimes seen as a burden or additional cost. Thus, the success of this initiative will depend on the effectiveness of field support and continuous awareness, along with measuring the real impact of these practices on environmental, social, and economic levels, ensuring the credibility and sustainability of this system endorsed by CGEM.
