Casablanca Hosts the First Edition of “Agro Export Day” to Enhance Global Presence of Moroccan Food Products

The National Federation of Food Industries, Fenagri, organized the first edition of Agro Export Day in Casablanca, a strategic event held under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Morocco Now initiative.

The event gathered over 250 participants, including government officials, exporters, international experts, and foreign buyers, alongside a wide network of economic actors from Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

During the opening session, Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour emphasized that the food industry represents a strategic sector to support food sovereignty, enhance competitiveness, and boost Moroccan exports.

The exhibition space showcased a diverse range of Moroccan products, including processed food items, cooperative products, canned goods, oils, seafood, dates, spices, and organic products, alongside innovative solutions in agri-tech and traceability.

This space attracted the interest of numerous international buyers due to the quality of Moroccan products and their compliance with international standards.

The discussion sessions addressed opportunities for accessing global markets, value-added consumer trends, sustainability requirements, traceability, quality certifications, and innovation, as well as the factors that can enhance the competitiveness of Moroccan food exports.

The event also witnessed the signing of partnership agreements to support exports as well as the distribution of awards to outstanding exporters.

Business meetings between Moroccan producers and international buyers provided new and tangible commercial opportunities.

The first edition of Agro Export Day highlights the crucial role of the National Federation of Food Industries in developing the sector and enhancing its presence, reinforcing Morocco’s position as a regional export hub to Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
