Young People of Kenitra Withdraw from “Generation Z 212” Amid Growing Splits Within the Movement
The rifts within what is known as the “Generation Z” movement have widened, with the youth of Kenitra announcing their collective and definitive withdrawal from the “Generation Z 212” group. This decision comes in protest against the incitement and misinformation that have dominated the discussions from the outset.
In a statement issued by a group of young people from Kenitra, they made it clear that their withdrawal followed just two days of participation in protests, during which they discovered that discussions were deviating from their natural course. The organizers showed a persistent tendency to promote falsehoods and incite violence, while also refusing to disclose their identities, raising doubts about the group’s objectives and background.
The young people reaffirmed their commitment to working within institutions, engaging positively in political life, and contributing to developmental and sports projects in the region. They urged young Moroccans to embody awareness and responsibility, avoiding enticements from unknown sources.
It is worth noting that the withdrawal of the Kenitra youth follows a series of previous splits involving youth from the Souss and East regions, who also rejected the directions of the same group, emphasizing their commitment to democratic participation as a path for constructive change.
