The National Federation of the Rally Youth commended the government’s dialogue and called on young people to engage peacefully in reforms.
Casablanca – The National Federation of the Rally Youth held an extraordinary meeting on Thursday, October 2, to discuss the political and social developments in the country, following expressions from youth demanding improvements in the health and education sectors.
The federation affirmed its conviction regarding the legitimacy of these demands, emphasizing that the government is making serious efforts to address them despite the challenges and heavy legacy in these sectors, stating that real reform requires more than four years. It viewed peaceful youth expressions as a catalyst for accelerating reform, reducing bureaucracy, and thwarting the interests of lobbyists.
It also praised the government’s responsiveness and willingness to engage in dialogue with young people, urging ministers to hold innovative field communication meetings that enable youth to express their aspirations in health, education, and other social areas. The federation encouraged public media to enhance dialogue programs for youth aged 15 to 25 and provide platforms for discussing their challenges and aspirations, stressing the need for vigilance to counter attempts to exploit youth expressions towards violence and chaos, and to hold accountable those spreading misleading information in the digital space.
The federation reiterated its respect for the work of security institutions and their role in protecting public order, property, and the physical safety of citizens. It called on political parties to transcend the majority-opposition dichotomy and contribute to confronting crisis merchants and makers of discord. Furthermore, it emphasized the necessity to expedite the establishment of the Supreme Council for Youth and Associative Work to enhance youth participation in national life, noting the progress made in reforming the health system while recognizing the lack of sufficient explanatory efforts for public opinion, urging all parties to accompany the reforms through modern and contemporary discussions, especially regarding the territorial health groups project.
The federation indicated that those inciting violence and vandalism threaten the nation’s future and stability, calling on everyone to engage in the coordinating initiative of national party youth to communicate with young people and respond to their aspirations in a peaceful and responsible manner.
