The unified women’s national team of Afghanistan is preparing to face Libya in the final match of the FIFA Unite: Women’s Series 2025 tournament. The match is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Municipal Stadium in Berrechid, kicking off at 5:00 PM local time.
This encounter comes after Afghanistan participated in its first two matches of the tournament, launched by FIFA to support women and girls worldwide, featuring teams from Afghanistan, Chad, Libya, and Tunisia.
In its debut, the Afghan team faced a historic match against Chad, ending in a 6-1 defeat. However, forward Manoj Nouri scored the first international goal for the unified team, making her the first Afghan female player to enter the annals of football history. FIFA praised this match, describing it as “a history being written from Morocco.”
Prior to the match against Libya, there will be an official training session on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lanouria Sports Stadium in Mohammédia. The first 15 minutes will be open to the media and the public for photos and interactions with the players.
FIFA emphasizes that the FIFA Unite tournament represents more than just a sporting competition; it is a message of human solidarity that extends from Morocco to the world, supporting women’s empowerment through football.
