The Parliament holds a joint public session to present the 2026 Finance Bill

The President of the House of Representatives and the President of the House of Councillors have announced the convening of a joint public session of Parliament on Monday, October 20, 2025, immediately following the weekly session dedicated to oral questions in the House of Representatives, to present the 2026 Finance Bill by the Minister of Economy and Finance.

A statement issued by the legislative bodies clarified that the holding of this session is in accordance with the provisions of Article 68 of the Constitution, which stipulates the possibility of the two chambers meeting in joint sessions to listen to presentations or statements related to public policies or strategic bills.

It is expected that the Minister of Economy and Finance will outline the main lines of the 2026 Finance Bill during this session, including the adopted economic assumptions, the government’s financial policy priorities, and proposed measures to support investment and enhance social justice.

In conclusion, the Presidents of the two chambers of Parliament called on members of Parliament to attend and participate in the works of this joint public session, which holds particular significance as it opens the legislative process for the most important annual law governing the State’s finances.
