The Ministry of National Education has launched the annual school census for the 2025-2026 academic year, aiming to update and verify data related to students, human resources, and educational infrastructures nationwide.

According to a communication from “Al-Hussein Al-Qaddad,” the acting secretary-general of the ministry, to regional and provincial educational officials and central directors, updating the data of the “Massar” system is the primary reference for most statistical data. He urged the use of monitoring tools to ensure the quality and reliability of information.

The source indicated that the school database is a central tool for tracking the achievement of the 2022-2026 roadmap objectives, meeting the growing demand for educational indicators, and supporting planning and evaluating the education system’s performance.

The census process is divided into two phases: the first runs from October 20 to November 7 and covers student enrollment in primary and secondary education, reception spaces, and human resources. The second phase continues until November 20 and includes preschool education, non-formal education, and social support programs, with special attention given to aspects related to children with disabilities, children of migrants, and students in foreign missions and language studies.

The ministry emphasized the need to define roles and responsibilities at all levels, from educational institutions to central services, and to produce comprehensive statistical reports to ensure consistency of results across various sectors of the system, along with issuing regional reports to ensure data coherence at the national level.
