The remaining cohesion within the group that calls itself “Generation Z” has crumbled following the complete withdrawal of the Amazigh movement, which accused its central leadership of deviating from the original goals and operating according to hidden agendas unrelated to youth issues or the social demands raised by the movement in its early days.
The statement issued by the Amazigh movement in the Souss-Massa region on October 15, 2025, served as an announcement of the demise of a dubious movement that tried to exploit some legitimate demands to achieve other malicious objectives and serve external agendas. The Amazigh movement confirmed that the leadership of “Generation Z” is now managed from behind screens by unknown individuals, and that it has turned into a digital façade used to settle ideological scores and convey messages directed against state institutions.
The withdrawal of the Amazigh movement revealed underlying truths. The group that claimed to represent youth and stimulate public discourse has, according to the defectors, morphed into a “misleading platform” used to serve obscure objectives far removed from the concerns of Moroccan reality. Members from within the movement asserted that decisions were being imposed from abroad, and that what was happening was no longer a youth discussion but rather a carefully orchestrated infiltration.
These ongoing splits, especially the withdrawal of the Amazigh movement, confirm that the so-called “Generation Z Movement” has reached its end. Once its true nature became apparent, the movement lost its legitimacy and credibility, becoming merely a name without a base or project.
