Rabat and Brussels Strengthen Parliamentary Dialogue within the Framework of a Renewed Strategic Partnership
The President of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, welcomed Rogeiro Raza, co-chair of the Morocco-European Union Joint Parliamentary Committee, accompanied by a delegation of European parliamentarians, in the capital, Rabat. This meeting was part of the 12th Annual Meeting of the Committee, dedicated to assessing and enhancing parliamentary relations between Morocco and the European Union.
Discussions centered on the pillars of the advanced strategic partnership that binds both sides, based on mutual trust and respect for national sovereignty. Key topics included energy transition, environmental protection, migration, and the development of a green economy.
Participating delegations praised Morocco’s significant regional and international projects launched under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, particularly those aligned with African integration and South-South cooperation.
The meeting also highlighted the vital role of the Joint Parliamentary Committee as a platform for parliamentary dialogue and institutional coordination between Rabat and Brussels. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in future areas, including digital transformation, human resource development, and scientific research.
